Last Updated: October 2, 2025
AncientSky Games (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides software applications, games, and related services (collectively, the “Products”), including but not limited to Practisim XR Stage Viewer. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Products, and the choices you have regarding that information.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all Products we offer across platforms (e.g., VR/AR headsets, mobile, desktop, and web). Certain Products may include product-specific notices or permissions prompts; where those differ, the product-specific notice controls for that Product.
2. Information We Collect
When you use our Products, we may collect the following categories of information:
Personal Information (if provided): Your name, email address, account details, and communications with us (e.g., when you contact support or create an account).
Device & Usage Data: Device type, operating system, language, IP address, regional settings, session activity, crash logs, performance metrics, and diagnostic data about how you interact with our Products.
In-Product Activity: Preferences, settings, interactions, and features you use.
XR/Device Permissions (where applicable): Access to sensors and system features (e.g., camera/passthrough, microphone, spatial mapping/room setup, hand and controller tracking, boundary/guardian info) solely to enable the experience. Unless a Product explicitly transmits or stores this data (e.g., when you record or upload content), such data is processed on-device and not sent to us.
User Content (if you choose to share): Content you submit or upload (e.g., screenshots, recordings, stage files, shared scenes).
Third-Party Services: If you connect or access a Product via a third-party platform (e.g., Meta account, storefront, cloud storage), we may receive limited information as permitted by that service and its privacy settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Products.
Personalize features and improve usability and performance.
Diagnose issues, analyze usage, and enhance quality and security.
Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
Enforce terms, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use XR sensor data (e.g., pass-through video, room scans, hand tracking) for marketing or profiling. Where a Product offers recording, sharing, or cloud sync, we only process what’s necessary to deliver that feature.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share information:
With Service Providers who assist in operations (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting, support) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
With Platform Providers when required to enable platform features, distribution, compliance, or payments (subject to those providers’ policies).
For Legal Reasons if necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
With Your Consent or at your direction (e.g., when you choose to share content or link accounts).
5. XR/Device Permissions Details (Where Applicable)
Some Products request system permissions. Typical examples:
Camera / Passthrough / Spatial Mapping: To render mixed reality, detect surfaces, or place content in your environment. Unless you record or explicitly upload, this visual/spatial data remains on-device.
Microphone: For in-app voice features. Audio is not sent to us unless you opt into features that transmit or store it.
Hand/Controller Tracking & Guardian/Boundary: To enable input and maintain user safety; used in real time and typically not stored.
Product-specific screens or store listings may describe additional data uses unique to that Product.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Products and fulfill the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Diagnostic/crash data may be retained for a reasonable period to improve stability and performance.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our Products are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. You can also:
Manage Permissions: Grant or revoke device permissions (camera, microphone, etc.) via your system settings.
Opt Out of Diagnostics (where supported): In-product settings or platform controls may allow you to limit analytics/crash reporting.
